Hilarious. When they show all of the recent EPL Archive games here, the ref is ALWAYS Winter. I didnt even know who he was until I started watching these things. He is always making some crazy call in the game. Funny thing is that the games become classic.

I don't get the Bennett hate. I don't think hes outstanding but i've never seen him have a really bad game, i'm sure he has but i've just never seen it personally myself.

Clattenburg has been poor for a while, hes too lenient, lets games get out of control.

I think Alan Wiley is the best.

Winter thats the guy. Yes he was dire but i'm talking about the comparisions between him and Styles both love the headlines and the attention. Everything is about them.

Worst referee I've ever seen was a bloke called Trelford Mills, from back in the 80's. His name is often spoken with 'bastard' coming after it, by Newcastle supporters of a certain age.

Keith Hackett also wasn't that hot as an official, from what I remember too.

Clattenburg has always been sh*te. Seen him ref decently in about 2-3 matches and thats it. Not got a clue where his reputation has come from.

Until recently, I really rated Mike Dean, but he's been completely woeful this season, that Chelsea game recently about as shocking a performance as Clattenburgs at the weekend.

So its out of Atkinson, Webb and Wiley for me. Probably Wiley, just.
