Same here. I had no idea Omega Man, the book and this film were all releated (if you get what I mean). I thought Omega Man was a really good film fwiw

Problem for me is that the book is a huge favourite of mines, I've read it countless times, so any movie based on it would have to be very good to compare.

The book is fantastic, but the words "Will Smith" & "Hollywood" surely mean that this won't be faithful whatsoever.

will smiths a dude, sure it'll be greats, i feel sorry for you lot who moan about how films adapted from something else turn out to be nothing like the original

also, i saw them filming a scene outside grand central station, but when i asked one of the cast members what it was called, they said it was 'time legends' which sounded shocking, and made me think of space jam for some reason
