A quick an easy phone question...
...maybe.
I recently got a Samsung u600 - it's pretty. I transferred a couple of songs - Thriller and Bad if you were wondering - to put as my ringtone and message tone.
However.
Whilst either song was accepted as my ringtone when i try and make either one my message tone the phone says "file is unsupported" - can anyone think why it would say this over a message tone but not a ringtone, and how can I fix it?

Ah possibly - is the any way I can edit a song down so it would be a compatible?

Could use Audacity (mp3 editing software) I suppose. Is free and easy to use.

you can't have mp3's as your text tone, just the defaults.

Ok it's not that - edited something down to a few seconds and still no good.
