Default Hotmail blocked work around?
Hotmail is blocked when I'm at work so I can't check my personal e-mail and I don't want to change my e-mail address (I've had the same one since 1995)
I tried to set it up on outlook since that's what I use for my work e-mail but no dice. I tried to get my e-mails transfered to a yahoo.com account but although yahoo says it works it doesn't.
Do you know of any trick or way around it please?

Well you could try using a proxy site, but if they're blocking hotmail, then I'd hope they were also blocking those too.

Why do you need to access your personal e-mail in work anyway? You're not there to arrange your social life.

How can I try the proxy thing?

It's not like I wanna check my personal e-mail 20 times a day but if a friend sends me an e-mail asking me if I wanna go to happy hour (like it happened 2 days ago) and I don't get it until I'm home it sucks.

The weird thing is that very few sites are blocked, the yahoo e-mails work for instance and so does facebook so the proxy thing you were suggesting might work.

Surely you have a works e-mail? Why cant your friend e-mail you on that?

Looks like you'll be using your mobile more often!

You're the first person I've heard of planning nights out via email rather than phone/text anyway
