Default The Long Awaited Crysis Thread - Single Player Demo Now Out!
Fast SP demo link 1.8GB Download

Hot off the EA servers a day earlier than originally announced.

Didn't play the multi-player betas so this is my first taste of the game. Loved Far Cry so hoping for more of the same.

So far I've only installed it in XP and it runs OK at high settings at 1920x1200 on an 8800GTX but it's plenty tweakable to find a good balance.

Going to try it is Vista x64 now to see what DX10 goodness it contains.

Anyway, there are some new Nvidia Forceware drivers out for the demo (release 169.01)

Vista 32 bit
Vista 64 bit
XP 32 bit
XP 64 bit

Pretty much the size of demos these days mate, Hellgate:London was more than 1.5GB too iirc.

Hoping this is awesome. With UT, Timeshift, Hellgate:London and COD4 all out soon the competition for FPS players attentions is looking pretty fierce.

Performance takes a massive hit in Vista (using 169.01 driver), which I guess is pretty obvious considering the DX10 effects. No way can get my settings anywhere near that in XP. I reckon even sli ultras would still have problems in DX10

Also can't get the Vista 64 bit version to work, only the 32 bit. It just freezes at the very first screen.
November DX Redist also out so going to see if that helps a bit

Downloading, staying aroung the 300kbps range, so happy with that, was only getting 30kbps on torrent
