you can play for a B team, then play for a different national side I think, fwiw, think David Johnson did it. Then again I think you can play any friendly then switch nationality.

would be interesting to see what an England b squad would be, assuming no 'A' squad players were in.

Rob Green
Lee Camp
Kelvin Davis

Glen Johnson
Nicky Shorey
Michael Dawson
Zat Knight
Phil Neville
Nedum Onouha

James Morrison
Michael Johnson
Nicky Butt
Joey Barton
Kevin Nolan
Kieron Richardson :/
David Bentley

Marlon Harewood
Emile Heskey
Gabriel Agbonlahor
Theo Walcott

U21s probably a stronger team tbh.

Wait. How can the U21 have a stronger team? if that's the case, bring all the U21's in and add where necessary.

well yeah I'd put loads in anyway as I just couldn't think of anymore other English players, there just wouldn't be much difference in quality tbh, just shows that the U21s acts as a B team pretty much anyway, anyone who is playing regular premiership football will be playing against better opposition than they would in a B side anyway, so to answer the original question, there wouldn't be much point.

B Teams just pop up every now and then. Seems to be a way to test out a few players at international level without 'officially' affecting rankings and records, etc
