I'm quite into listening to Extreme at the moment (who are only really known for More Than Words, which is a shame as Nuno Bettencourt is an amazing guitarist and they did a fair bit of good stuff) - plus some standard older stuff - AC/DC and the like, haven't heard much lately that has interested me, but I don't keep up with new bands like I used to. The Answer is one of the only newer bands I can name that I found and like the sound of right away.
Going to see Dream Theater live in November
paulsgruff - I've been going through an Extreme phase as well. III Sides to Every Story is a fantastic album, particularly Peacemaker Die and the 'third side' with the three tracks.
Waitin' For The Punchline was somewhat of a disappointment as an album afterwards though Hip Today is great.
The album I've been playing the most at the moment though is Nightwish Dark Passion Play.

Totally agreed with this, I was stunned that I was actually listening to the same band when I heard this album for the first time. Nothing like their first 3, and it wasn't change in a good way either :thdn:

Indeed, lots of threads. Though I can't miss a chance to mention the lovely Emilie Autumn again.
Hah, i'd seen a picture of her before but never knew who it was. Now googling the name has solved that mystery. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Tbf, I could've just included a link to the tattoo I have of her and saved you googling. (I'm slightly obsessed)
