I wasn't bothered about it, it's not like he does it all the time (or even regularly) - but what a top bloke!
| nah a top bloke would invite you
thereby both negating any claims of disturbing the peace by neighbours (you were helping )
&
ingratiating himself to you for any similar functions you may throw

| Some mates have said that to me tbf. I'd have been the old git in the corner too!
He does seem like a decent bloke the times I've spoken to him... which is good because the people he replaced were miserable bastards.

I had a brothel underneath me, female Polish builders sitting outside my window, student halls right across the road and more student halls being built next door by said female Polish builders. Winner

My neighbour had a plumbing problem the other day, causing a minor flood in my place. I went raging round there but cheered right up when they turned out to be two teenage Irish girls. Now when I'm gawping at their knickers drying, I can put a name to the face, as it were.

| polish builders & students? - that sounds like pretty much any town in the UK,
where i used to live you didn't go out past 5-6pm in case you were killed , i used to have to peg it for my mates at about 2 am the 40-50 yards to my door
unless they were raping you with their tools that's nothing
