I don't have any compulsion to do so - football has nothing to prove to anyone - which was the whole point of my post.

I enjoy football - that's all it is. I'm indifferent towards rugby. </BLOCKQUOTE>

To you, Football is by far the better sport. That's right in your mind. To somebody else Rugby will be the better sport, to somebody else Cricket.

Doesn't make any of them wrong, though i do agree that anybody who tries to argue the point of WHY sports are better than others are generally onto a loser. If they reason why they're more enjoyable to them, then i dont see the problem.

Sorry Gregg - could you point me to the bit where I said people who like Rugby are wrong? I seem to be missing something you clearly saw?

The whole point of my post was that I don't care about rugby and therefore I don't have a compulsion to declare football is better.

I shall take the classic OTF Silent Response to this post to mean "Oh yeah... I was wrong - sorry about that!"

Thinking Lehmann hasn't been a top goalkeeper.

The year we reached the CL final he was the best keeper in Europe and probably the world.

That wasn't what i was getting at. More a case of expanding on what you and finneys were bickering about to ensure that neither of you one any potential argument.

Since I didn't answer his question I think I'd already shown that I wasn't angling to win any potential argument.

It really is something when I'm picked up on an argument I might potentially have!

So many wasted athletes playing AFL.

At least with Cricket and NRL (more so cricket) they play other international teams.

AFL is only big in victoria, and everywhere else it's a sideshow.
