Wouldn't say it was laughable to claim Reina is the second best keeper in the league. Cech clearly the best, very little between the rest.

Shrew is right about Jens btw, that season he was easily one of the best keepers, if not the best in the prem/europe and one of the if not the best in the WC.

And what Asmo said, saying Reina is second best is hardly laughable, debatable maybe.

Lehmann thrives on pressure. It's when he's not under it he gets complacent and it all goes tits up. That's the way I see it anyhow.

Richard wright had the potential to become an Arsenal great.

I would never question Wenger as "WENGER KNOWS" but Manninger was playing out of his skin and as soon as Seaman was fit again he came back in (loyalty to Seaman). This IMHO ruined Manninger.

Fast Forward and he did the same with Richard Wright.Played every cup game and come to the final,who plays? Seaman.

This ruined both keepers.....

Gotta admire Wengers loyalty yes but i believe Manninger was class as was Wright.

Their carrers were basically ruined by Wenger.

Not that i'm complaining that much

I have supported Arsenal since 1974 (I was 7) and the Wenger years have really impressed me.

I think you'll find that Richard Wright's lack of goalkeeping skills ruined his career, not Wenger.

To be fair, if that 'ruined' Richard Wright, thank christ he didn't stay eh? What if he'd been shown to be woefully s**t positionally and shot stopping against great sides of the 90s like Spurs and Charlton?

I still remember Bob Wilson kicking up a fuss when he was goalkeeper coach. Came out saying that Stuart Taylor should be given a chance, and suggested that the reason he wasn't might be because he was English. :thup:

The only person Ive heard describe him as a world beater is Jens himself.

He isnt overated for two reasons

1. He's a good goalkeeper, better than you think
2. Fans, media etc dont fawn over him or ever over rate him. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Pretty much anyone with half a clue will tell you Jens was awesome that season.

He was also fantastic in the unbeaten season but that rarely gets a mention.
