My dad plays of a 2 handicap, he taught me to play when i was younger. My brothers and family all play along with my oldest niece. Its something ive always wanted to get back into, just never had the time.

I shunned orthodox golfing technique the last time i played and absolutely tore the field up, until about the 13th hole when i got tired and hit 30 for each hole until the end.

im only driving for like 150 yards which is obviously because i have no sort of technique. loft the ball far too much also.
seriously considering paying for lessons as i dont really have any mates that are into it that can teach me. looking online it seems extra long clubs are only a half inch longer so wont really make a huge deal of difference.

i'm largely self taught (read a few books etc). i play to a reasonable level, but there are doubtless flaws in my game that a pro may have ironed out.
you can certainly get custom made clubs, but obviously they won't be cheap.

I play off an 11 handicap, although at the moment i'm not playing to it, which is really annoying. I'm striking the ball well and playing well, but playing well and scoring well are two totally different things. But yeah, basically I love golf, nearly as much as football.
