Default Digital aerial installation. Some advice please.

I'm moving into a new house today and am looking to get an external digital aerial installed.

I have checked coverage for my area and its ok, without being brilliant. It could definitely do with being external rather than internal for reception quality.

What sort of price should I reasonably expect to pay for it? Any other things I should look out for? Recommended companies? Thanks.

I have been quoted £150 including labour and materials, in London, for splitting a signal and running the cable to another room. I would imagine yours would be more given purchase of the aerial and the extra labour.

What's the difference between a digital aerial and an analogue one?

We've just had ours done by a local guy.

It cost £195 for an aerial, some sort of booster/receiver thing and 3 connection points in the house (inc labour).

Canterbury is crap for reception most of the time so it's nice being able to watch TV without having to guess at what you're looking at.

Cost me about £180 for a new aerial, booster, cabling and labour for two connection points about four years back.

Cheers fellas. Was that for an internal or external aerial being installed?
I want one on the roof.
