Far too much effort to actually back up my point with evidence but I think my hypothesis is correct.

I have read it. He's ever spoken to Barca at any point. He's claiming his agent rejected it because he wants to stay in Florence and that he never knew what the offer was about.

Rubbish. There was never an offer. Awful journalism. And then you ignore his reasoning anyway, and say that it was because competition for places would have been too tough.

So you don't make sense, either way. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Ok, believe what you want. You convinced that there was never an offer though, why do you think this? Is it because it wasn't more known by other places?
You don't have to debate with me, I never asked you to.

Just trying to stop this thread descending into mindless speculation. So if people post guff, and then some inane reasoning on top of said guff, I'll respond.

How there can be an offer, when the player doesn't know what it's exact nature is, is beyond me. And then for the "article" to claim he turned it down? Would like to think most people have far more intelligence than to accept that.

But guess I'm wrong,

Jords, did you see Chivu went to Inter? Thanks Christ for that. Last thing Barca needed tbh.

Fine then. Ill post better articles I find in future.

I have learned that most people in Italian football lie about stuff like their reasons to just make the fans/people happy, so thats why I said about competition. Also, I don't know whether there was an offer. If he said he wants to stay at all cost no matter what the money to hi agent it could of been rejected so he wouldn't be tempted by the figures he could have seen. But like you said, the player must of read it to turn it down.

A.C.Milan in their entirety are pretty much what I'm talking about.
