Dont think I will get sacked I just wanted to know where i stand. My argument is that last last Sunday afternoon and last Tuesday I was told to go home/not come in because there was no work but these are also contracted hours. So they are not sticking to their side of the contract. Do I have a case to fight back if I am sacked?

I don't think you have much of a case.
Devils Advocate: They pay you for the hours, and in the examples you've given, they sent you home knowingly. Leaving of your own volition is going to be against your contract and at worst, tantamount to stealing - they pay you to be there, you're not there but receiving their money.
As you state that you don't believe that they'll fire you, I would have thought it would be better to come clean, apologise, point to your good work ethic with examples of other occasions where you've worked longer than expected or beyond the call of duty. It's not that you feel the company owes you this, but that you're a good worker and that they shouldn't look to replace you. I'd also state that it was a one off and that it won't happen again. If I were your employer and was looking to keep you despite of this incident, that's what I'd want to hear.
Obviously I don't know the whole story, but good luck whatever you choose. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I was no paid for the hours i didnt not work/
I was thinking of goin that way. I am only contracted to 20 hours a week but since ive finnsihed Uni about 4 months ago ive been doin 40+ hours a week so that should work in my favour. I have already addimitted to why i left early so i guess I should just appologies and hope for the best
