it is one of the best convergence devices available to the mass market today imo.

Why? Because it lets you play Mp3s and access your e-mails too? other phones do it and don't try and claim they're the only ones that do it right. </BLOCKQUOTE>
it has a good web browser, excellent mp3 playback which includes quality, storage space, excellent ui for playback and browsing, itunes music store built in, has a good calender app, good quality camera, good quality large widescreen screen,
accelerometer which changes display of pictures on tilt, easy to use ui with touch screen, sexy looking device.
ive never said it was the best in all features of the phones on the market, but it does most things well enough to be considered one o0f the best of what it does on the market. </BLOCKQUOTE>
This was fairly big in the US because in terms of mobile technology we tend to be one generation behind the rest of the world so it was roughly equivalent to what was already out there, but phones in the rest of the world have long surpassed it
imo.
Also, it doesn't hurt that it had the 'hip' marketing bandwagon behind it.
