That was kind of my point. If he's being bullied before hand and now being bullied cos he's fat then having a go at him about being fat isn't going to do anything but make him feel like he has no one to talk to.

exactly, the parents hassled me for eating as much as I did but tbf they didn't know because I didn't tell them, they'd have gone straight into school and that would have made it a million times worse, sucks really. Even worse now as kids are right bastards these days

erm stop him drinking fizzy drinks, or any sugary drinks as they cane on the pounds ridiculously.

Tell him to take up boxing as from personal experience that really helps you lose the weight and get fit.

I have to take up sport again. Put on a bit of a stomach since I haven't been playing sport

Especially as I get a free lunch every day.

Cranker we're not having a go at him. Completely the opposite, we're trying to find out what is wrong so we can try and fix it.

tbf your opening post seems more interested in his weight than finding out why he's unhappy. Your Mom wants to take him the doctor and you want to get him doing sport or gym. Doesn't take a genius to realise you think he's a fat **** which may be the opposite of what he needs right now.

Also keep in mind that between 13 and 16, many kids thin out tremendously as their systems change with puberty.

And, btw, there will be no drastic changes until he decides for himself to work at it.
