for the talent of the teams Spain have been able to field over the last 10 years and how easily they usually qualify (a bit harder this year though, but should get there) they have seriously underperformed at the big moments, so having all that talent doesn't really mean a lot
on the basis of China and their Olympics, if they can get past the two problems which are environmental with the air/water and the protests about the human rights and the regime, they should have a quite successful Games I reckon - I still think Spain (who are rumoured to be interested) should get the 2018 World Cup though as they hosted a quite successful one in 1982 and haven't had a big event for a while as I mentioned, but I'm not the one choosing
| Spain (Barcelona) hosted the Olympic Games in 1992, I think it was the last big event they hosted.
The candidates at the moment for 2018 are:
- USA
- England
- Benelux
- Mexico
- China
- Australia

I've said it before, i don't think Australia can host a proper world cup. But at least the government is trying, at the very least it will raise football awareness in this country.
Congratulations brazil. So it looks like I have 7 years to save up, and learn Portugesa. Got a spare bed PMLF?

I'd like to see Argentina pick up the WC and I think they will...but only helped by the fact that Maradona dies a week before the WC...
Tragedy will be Argentina's best friend...
Italy will suck for sure...the heat alone will be the sole excuse for a rather useless showing. especially as the Italian players are getting more and more effeminate...

| You already had a bad start, as the language is called português!
I think Australia will have to host some U-17 or U-20 WC, or the Women's WC, before hosting the WC.

Think they were helped out by Israel not qualifying...
Beijing 2008 is a ****ing outrage too. The IOC should be ashamed of themselves.
