Club Football:The Manager and it's successor, Club and Country, were very grim.
Football Masters was awful, Ultimate Soccer Manager was all fluff and very little substance and Premier Manager 3 was crap as well.
Don't knock Ultimate Soccer Manager
That got me threw school! I wonder if they are still doing that...? </BLOCKQUOTE>
USMwfb, bribing managers never worked though, but betting on games was cool. Also taking Altrincham from the conference to Europe in 4 seasons using the extra money cheats etc was great. Plus building your own stadium wfb.
It is indeed! When I was back at school I remembered that brib option was used for things outside the game like go get some drinks or go to the shops etc
the match rigging/bungs in ultimate soccer manager!
i tried for aaaaaages to rig a match, never could, they never accepted and i always got fired as it came out in the press. Eventually however, i was man u, gave myself the maxmimum starting money, sold a load of players to raise funds then offered a lower league club like 20m to lose a cup game, they accepted
Was top of the league after 30-something games, with a team that should have been in a relegation battle, and got sacked because I was playing a LB at RB
Speaking of old football games, anyone remember Sensible Soccer on the Amiga? Isnt a management game but many a night I played it with my bro for hours.
Always ended up having a strikeforce of Emile Heskey and Florin Radiciou (sp?) who where both ridiculously overrated.
