What about onenil that was poor
que? That was a masterpiece. The 2D engine was a decade ahead of its time, the only annoyance was the lack of depth in the transfer market (make a bid, then it's either accepted or rejected straight away, but most games were like that until CM came along).
It was an absolute masterpiece, and it fitted onto a floppy disk - it was unbelievably good. I was hooked on it in the mid nineties, I remember doing a complete database overhaul on it for World Cup '94 to include all the latest international teams.
I'd still be playing it now if it wasn't for a huge emulation issue - the "whistle" sound effect doesn't translate well to modern computers, it plays a system beep for about 5 seconds every time the whistle goes, and even if you mute it then there's a 5 second pause.

what theis said in general, although it doesn't technically make sense. I'd like to say rekluse is terribly wrong though, as premier manager 98 was extremely enjoyable, and up there with one of my favourite manager games.
They must have really improved it within a year then, as 97 was the one I owned and it was terrible. I also had one of the earlier versions as well which ran on DOS...
that McCoist game game, the back of it was amusing quote from him (apparently) saying "I haven't seen a better football management game than Director Of Football"
