I get paid on the last working day of every month. Anyway i decided to hand in my weeks notice but my boss didnt want me to leave.
She gave me two weeks paid holiday and said i should think about it. She also said that if i decided i still wanted to leave the second week of the holiday will count as my notice.
Needless to say i decided to leave, anyway i was paid as usual and then a bacs recall was done and it was taken back. I called payroll and they said it was because i was declared AWOL from the last day of my holiday.
My boss has only today just processed my leaving paperwork and payroll say i will be paid when they get it. 4 questions.
1)Can they do that(bacs recall)
2)will i get paid straight away or will it be 5-7 working days etc?
3)Will my bank be understanding...regarding DD and such?
4)is my boss due an earbashing from me for only processing it now?
any help will be useful.

BACS Recall........can they do that? I am broke. Post #2
Ring your bank asap and explain the situation, they may give you a temporary overdraft or at least cancel your direct debits to avoid charges, banks can be amazingly helpful if you ring them before something happens rather than after the event
