Default Short city breaks?

Got 2 weeks off in November, can't go away for the whole time due to other commitments but would like to get away for a bit.

Where have you been?
How much did it cost to get there?
What's to do once you get there?
Would you recommend it?

N. America and Europe only.

That's not too bad at all.
I found a flight that costs £211 but goes via Philly....

Went to Switzerland over the summer, Zürich is great. Swiss Air were actually the cheapest flight and it was only about £50 return all-in.

Cologne comes highly recommended too, dirt cheap out of EMA.

Going to Barca at the end of next month for the missus birthday. Should be awesome, but how do I get Nou Camp tickets in advance without being ripped off?

My thinking is that with the US dollar being so cheap it makes sense to pay a bit more for flights than if you're going to Europe as overall you'll spend less....
