One spot should go to the winner of the Championship.

why would anybody want a situation where the 2nd rate competition is harder to win than the 1st? </BLOCKQUOTE>
How does actually having to win your league just to qualify make that competition easier?
Besides, even if you get there it wouldn't necessarily be easier to win - you've got to beat the champions of the other leagues.

Top 3 teams from England should go in for it, maybe even top 2 and winner of a cup.
Would split big 4 up a bit. Fear Liverpool might drop out though.

| But that's just his point. Very few of the different league champions that are as strong as the 2-4th of the PL, La Liga and Serie A. The CL winner will be one of those leagues champion, everyone else will just make up the numbers.

Espanyol Barcelona.
Then if you want another example you use Athletico for Athletico Madrid while Athletico de Sevilla might play in the 1st division next season.

Hmm make it 4 and none of the teams outside the big 4 will ever get a chance to get in the champions league. Teams like Portsmouth and Everton live on with the dream that they can get into that top 4. Although admittedly they could get in via the cup route.

| And if they do then I'll use the full name. Atm there is no need to. So still not the same.

All Platini is doing is making sure that those who voted for him see him as trying to implement his ticket. He knows these ideas won't fly.
