Cracks me up when foreign people just say Manchester. They always mean United </BLOCKQUOTE>
Very few people know Man City outside England/The UK, this why we foreigners often say Manchester when referring to Man Utd. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Well that's what you get for not naming the clubs properly...

I'd be up for this. It'd add to the fairytale aspect of a potential winner from outside the top 4 (or 3) having a run in the Champions League the following year. It'd definately liven things up I reckon. I like it.

assassinating the losing finalists would liven things up.

as long as the winner only gets entry and if the winner is already in the champions league the spot goes to the league, then it's a good idea imo.

think it should stick to the top 4 imo.
Should be rewarded for performance after 38 games not 6.

But only one of them four is actually entering Europe as a 'champion'.

Allowing the cup winners to enter, gives smaller clubs a chance to close the ever-widening gap.

And it means that one of the big four will actually have to try if they want to qualify 'cos they won't all get a league spot.

Of course it would be the death knell for the already-tainted UEFA Cup.
So financially, the 'smaller' clubs and nations would probably come out worse.

How about just allowing the Champions into the Champions League?

Then the UEFA Cup and Super Cup would actually have some purpose and domestic leagues and cups would be competitive again.
