Well an advert asking for money to help prevent / cure animal cruelty featuring perfectly healthy animals without a scratch on them isnt really going to do the job is it?

But more adverts = more people becoming aware = more people donating. And I doubt the people who do donate their money to charities will mind that some of that money will be spent on generating more money for said charity.

But then people who would consider donating, like me, are put off simply because the adverts are poor and the celebrities endorsing them are probably taking the charity for a ride.
I am pretty sure adverts can be made at a low-budget, maybe using real victims (sounds so weird calling an animal a victim) - Without splashing around wads of cash to plums like Simon Cowell.

How do you know Cowell got paid at all? Has it occurred to you that he may actively support the charity and perhaps done it for nothing?
Not saying that's the case but you don't know it isn't the case, anymore than you know he got paid "wads".
