Does PC Pilot Magazine Have A Case To Answer To Me?
I'm a huge fan of Flight Simulator X and I buy the above mentioned magazine as soon as it comes out.
I have also invested a bit of money into add-ons, and this is where an issue has arisen.
Wilco Publishing together with FeelThere created an add-on for Flight Simulator X called the Airbus Series Volume 1. There is the standard version and the Deluxe version.
According to the box, the standard version contains the Airbus 318, 320 and 321 where as the deluxe version contains the 318, 319, 320, 321 and the Corporate Jetliner. There are also some movie clips in the deluxe version. If you purchase the standard version, it is possible to upgrade to the deluxe version for a small fee. There were some bugs with this add-on, so a patch was brought out to correct this.
According to PC Pilot magazine issue number 48, they review the above mentioned product. Except that it is published by Just Flight. The magazine mentions the Just Flight product is exactly the same as the Wilco Publishing deluxe product except they have excluded the movie clips, but they have it completely patched.
So I think, OK, I don't really care about the movie, but since it is already fully patched, I'll get the product from Just Flight instead of from Wilco Publishing.
So after installing the product I notice the Airbus Corporate Jetliner has been excluded from the Just Flight version after the magazine told me it was the same as the Wilco Publishing deluxe version.
I can't go to Just Flight and say I am unhappy with their product as I followed PC Pilot magazine's advice. Basically PC Pilot made an error in their review and I made my purchase decision on their review.
I wrote an email to the editor of PC Pilot magazine but they have so far not got back to me.
Does anyone have any advice for me as to what I can do. There is the Flight and Train Simulation Show in Birmingham on November 17 to which I'll be going.
Microsoft, Just Flight, Aerosoft, Saitek, Flight 1 etc are all going to be there, so I could take the opportunity to complain to them there and see what they have to say.
Obviously I'll produce my email I wrote as well as the product I bought and the magazine in which they wrote their review as proof.
Any advice please?

I don't understand what you hope to achieve here. You want PC Pilot to refund you based on a minor error in a review? How are you even sure that their review copy is the same as what ended up on the shelves?
You're wasting your time here mate.
