Looks like superb value, £5 for the first three months and then £9.99 after that. No annual contract so you cancel at anytime. I have had it for a while and very happy with it, certainly worth the £9.99 I am paying so £5 is a steal!
I took out a subscription with Setanta back in August and since then I've watched only about 3 matches which is why on November 9th it's going off. I was offered the 3 months for a £5 but turned it down. It is a steal yes but for me personally I didn't think it was worth it.
Oh and tbh the coverage of the Premier League is not a patch on Sky, for my liking they show nowhere near enough replays, and the co-commentators are poor, Craig Burley is dire and Paul Parker rambles without actually thinking about what he is saying.
generally find the opposite tbh. Sky are generally awful when it comes to commentating, don't think Setanta are that bad. The non-league stuff is really good as well.
It's nothing earth shattering, but a fiver for a while and then the equivelant of three pints and a packet of crisps a month seems pretty good to me.

It's just that people I know who are into golf have all cancelled their subscriptions with Setanta.
US coverage of Golf isn't a patch on Sky's coverage. Also I'm content watching European Tour golf anyway so the lure of Setanta is reduced.
I get it free with Virgin and the whole package isn't too bad.
The quality of the picture in the live games could be better but the commentary is just as bad as Sky's imo.
