I couldn't put one person on that pedestal. it's easier to put people in lists of what they'd do for me. I'd imagine that there are 4 or 5 people that I'd be there for if the call came and vice versa. but if they screwed me over, then it means nothing, because a true best friend wouldn't.

It depends what you mean by "screwing over" although I think I'd forgive pretty much anything from my best friend, it would just take more time if it was something really bad.

I always thought I was the only few people who had a best mate. (12 years). Funny that so many people here have friends that they've known for more then 7 years.

Had my best mate since i was 6 so almost 9 years now. He's as close as a brother to me and we share literally everything with one another. Yeah, he has his faults but I have mine so it's all meh.

I always had a group of friends, with maybe around 5/6 of them I'd consider my closest. That's changed a bit over the years, until I realised that there were two that were probably my best friends. I've had to make a choice for best man at my wedding though. Was a hard decision, but I did choose my oldest mate, who I've known since I was 6 (we would sit under the stair and perv under the teachers' skirts). We've travelled a lot over the years as well, and that seperates him from my other close friend, who I don't see as much although we were probably closer in high school.
As if anyone's reading this ffs |
