This may or may not be common knowledge on OTF, but I have just been watching the rugby league and discovered Featherstone Rovers play at the Chris Moyles Stadium. It transpires that he paid to put his name to the stadium.
If he did it to save the club from going to the wall then good on him. The cynic in me suggests he probably did it for a 'laff' on his god-awful radio 1 show. Which is it, anyone know?
Not even sure he paid for it - sure it was the clubs idea to get free publicity by being mentioned on the show.
Got Chris Moyles to a game too

BOSSES at Featherstone Rovers have announced they are renaming their ground The Chris Moyles Stadium. The news was announced on Tuesday evening that the Post Office Road ground will now be named after the top Radio One DJ from Leeds.
A statement posted on the League Two club's website said it believes that by its association with Chris Moyles – whose morning radio show attracts more than 6.8m listeners daily – it has "pioneered the publicity of rugby league across the county".
Chief executive Phil Young told the Express: "We are well aware of Chris' appeal to a wide audience and therefore approached him and asked him the question and he agreed to accept the accolade.
"We wanted to lift the game of rugby league, gain worldwide exposure for the club and open the club to a wider audience. Putting Featherstone town on the map wouldn't be a bad thing. People are very excited about the future and what the relationship with Chris Moyles could bring."'
Chris Moyles said: "I think it's brilliant. It's such a cool idea and I promise to use all my years of professional rugby experience to make the club the best!"
