Your ignorance of sociology shining through there, Dan. If we have immigrants doing low pay jobs, then the government sets up all manner of studies and schemes to find out why they're not becoming management consultants and investment bankers and to give them a helping hand to do so. If you want immigrants to do **** jobs, you'd better make it plain to them that that's the deal before you let them in, no?

Nothing wrong with discussing immigration but anyone who quotes Enoch Powell knows the negative connotations and so deserves the negative results. If you really want to discuss immigration you wouldn't quote Enoch Powell so the "ohhhh how can we discuss immigration if anyone who tries is labelled a racist?" is obviously ********.

No. To do so would be to violate the free market. Unskilled or specifically skilled migrants will move to their suited employment. To deny them the chance to then build upon their success would be segregationalist, and that's where the rivers of blood lie.

The tories attitudes towards this hasn't changed. Just because they don't use such blatant terminology as they did back then does not change that fact.

It's not the first time in recent years that somebody of this stature in the Tory party has said that Enoch Powell was right. The Tory party is inherently racist. It's policies and ideologies are very much rooted in that fact. No amount of window dressing or allowing of a handful of ethnic minority memebers is going to change that.

Just because you view Conservatives as white middle-Englanders with their city pad and estate in the country doesn't mean the party hasn't evolved.
