See that might not sound amazing... until you realise I am in Swindon, and my mates are in Alice Springs, Australia!

They were in a pub and text me to look at them on the webcam. then I realised I could request songs for them, get them mentioned by the DJ and purchase rounds for them. It really was great watching them have a laugh and get drunk without me.

Me and Will decided to buy them $40 worth of drinks and watched them drink. great idea though, more bars should do that.

Cunningly guessed from the title that your mates were elsewhere and you'd bought them one from afar.

That is quite cool, but I'd probably feel a bit sad that I wasn't there with them.

I really doubt it though, it all sounds quite good-natured and nice.
