If everyone remember that Scottish league had a winter break about 5 yrs ago and spain has got a winter break, so why can we not have one.

Doesn't that give it away?

I like international breaks too, it's good to see how the national teams' managers play your players.

No to a winter break. Stop having so many meaningless international friendlies, and perhaps then the fixture list won't be so congested.

Footballers have it hard ? Jesus.

so yer if they don't play those 4 games over the christmas period when dpo they plan to play them, fixtures list is already congested enough.

Would just lead to more long distance mid week away games with low away followings and rubbish atmospheres

mid week league games are fs :thdn:

mid-week games = night games, ergo they are awesome.

No to a break though, Id have to spend Christmas with my family then.

you expect international managers to blood new players and try out new systems during qualifiers then?

You could have the odd friendly, but surely there's too many in the calendar at present ? I mean for the start of the last couple of seasons, we've been one of two games into the new campaign, and then we suddenly have an International break. Bizarre for me.
