My firend, if you were part of the underground rap setup, you would take it serious too. a lot of kids on there use music as a medium to expres themselves, and a lot of them are very very good at it. If you took the time out to read some actual pieces on there, you would be suitably impressed. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Are you part of the underground rap setup? Probably a stupid question, but meh.

I've read 4 of the battles.

Still can't see how it works with no beat. Surely hitting the beat is one of the major parts of being a good rapper.

Some of the lyrics are good, recommend anyone?

I've been text battling for about 4 years, Audio batlting for about a year, and making 'proper' music for about 7 months.

I've got a studio set up in the spare room of my house, and take it pretty seriously.

check out www.myspace.com/renegadeproductions for some of the stuff my 'crew' get up to.

Check out the open Mic section, look for Orion, King Jehu, 2Smooth, Me (NepentheZ) Fatal .. hell, a whole host of them.

And text battling is not really to do with music. its how you read it.

Yes

Miles better and he had the advantage of not being part of 'the underground rap setup'.

That is actually quite good. Not my sort of genre really, but I could listen to that sort of thing.
