Was going really well though since Grant took charge. Bit of a cliche but I think he's a confidence player, like SWP, and needs a cuddle now and then. He'sis fairly useful at left-back to which is where he's playing playing for Portugal. Out for a while now though unfortunately.

If Steve Finnan is the best then it just goes to show what a sorry bunch of right backs we have when you take nev out of it.
Is so it so bad that Mr. Consistently average Steve Finnan is seen as something to be happy about? But yet again Liverpool wonder why they havent won the league in donkeys years.

rob jones was the best ever right back in the premiership in my in-no-way-biased opinion, closely followed by dan petrescu. i'm quite serious about him though, he was excellent.
could probably make a case for someone like gerrard or gullit seeing as they would both probably be exceptional at right back had they played there.
