Not been mugged, but been armed robbed. That wasn't fun.
2 guys, both dressed in black head to foot, balaclavas on, one with a machete and one with an axe. I'd have preferred it if they had guns, at least then I would have thought they were a tiny bit professional.
Came into the general store where I was working and forced their way behind the counter, where they stole £20 from the till (The lass had been regularly putting the rest in the couter cash box underneath), 200 Lambert and Butler and a bottle of Taboo.
If they'd come into the office, the door to which was ajar and opened out onto the shop floor only 5 foot away from where they were standing, then I was in there with the safe keys, with about £30k (Week's takings) in there that I'd have handed them gladly.
They were caught because a woman who was outside saw them leave, followed them home (They went on foot, carrying a duvet cover stashed with their hoard and dressed as they were

) and called the police. The police arrived, broke the door down and when they got in they were still sat there smoking their cigarettes and drinking their taboo.
Master criminals, or what?
