Personally, no... but I have many friends and acquaintances in Salford who have been mugged.
One of my mates, when leaving a pub, was accosted by two knife-wielding thugs demanding his cash card and PIN AND directions to the nearest cashpoint!
While one thug went off to withdraw the cash, the other stood guard over my mate - just in case the PIN was wrong.
After a while, the guarding mugger began to get agitated and asked my mate how far away the cashpoint was. That it was only a couple of minutes around the corner wasn't the answer the mugger wanted to hear - it turned out the muggers had only met each other that night and is 'mate' had clearly done a runner with the loot!
Scallies eh!
A less funny story is that of a student in Manchester who got so wasted he was easy pickings for a mugger.
Drunk, bloodied and now broke he appealed to some passersby to take pity and help him home.
He awoke the next morning to find his flat had been emptied!
Double - whammy !
