It depends really, some nights I can't seem to get to sleep no matter what I do and get very few, then other nights I can be totally zonked for 10-14 hours straight if I know I don't have to get up.
I'd say on average, probably around 5-7 hours sleep a night, which probably isn't enough for me as I often feel tired these days.
depends if i've got something worth doing in the morning to be honest. if i do, then i get by on three or four. but if there's no point in getting up then i pretty much sleep until i physically can't sleep any more, usually after 20 to 22 hours.
Always try and get 8, but it is quite hard to do so with my shift pattern. Generally if I don't get enough one night I'll try to make it up the following.
