Yes, patch 1.004 is out and sorts out quite a lot of the previous issues.

Personally, I loved the game. Best thing for me is the environment and atmosphere it generates: it's genuinely creepy in places. Not managed to finish it yet as it crashes regularly near the end (Pripyat) and I cba to sort it out.

Looking forward to the sequel tbh.

I never experienced a single crash... so depends if you are lucky or not

Me neither.

From the people I've seen complain about crashes, they are generally the ones with "uber overclocks" and/or non stock ram timings, or just a junk, poorly maintained PC equipment.
