Why any teams bother with English mangers is beyond me. They are only capable of one style of football and that punting it long ball. They may be able to get their team grinding out 1-0 wins but its terrible to watch.
Tony Mowbray must be the exception to that rule. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Whats he ever won as a manager? Infact his WBA team would be pretty crap with out big Ish. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Won? I am arguing the part the you put in bold. Mowbray's whole philosophy is creating attractive attacking football. It is awesome to watch.

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has issued a "hands off'' warning to Wigan after manager Roberto Martinez was today being linked with the vacant manager's job at the JJB Stadium.

The Premiership strugglers sacked Chris Hutchings this morning and Roberto's name was immediately thrown into the frame.

Roberto became a fans favourite at the JJB Stadium when he joined as one of the "three Amigos" in 1995.

He spent six years at the club and played a major role in the club's climb towards the Premiership.

But the Swans chairman told BBC Wales today: "It's quite obvious that we wouldn't welcome an approach and I think Roberto is fully focussed doing what he's doing.

"He wants to be a successful manager and I think he's fully aware that he's got time on his side to consider whatever he wants to do in his future years.

"He is a very intelligent young man and I've no doubt that he will be with us for a few years to come.

"I think Roberto being linked is quite natural because of his past, spending some time at Wigan, and obviously the success he's had with us.

"From our point of view, Roberto has come here to do a job for Swansea City and we fully expect him to stay and do that job with us."

Roberto refused to get drawn into the speculation, adding: "You can't stop speculation. I had six fantastic years at Wigan and Mr (Dave) Whelan (the Wigan owner) was the reason we (he, Jesus Seba and Isidro Diaz) came over from Spain at the time.

"We've been through many difficult and good times with the football club and I think that's always part of the speculation when situations like this arise. So I don't see anything else from that point."
