Don't agree - at the moment due to the vast sums involved, I'm not really bothered whether we pay £2m or £5m for a player - what matters is what they add to the side.
I don't believe Harte can add anything, whereas I do believe Higginbotham can even if it's only for a season to stabalise. In that respect a player is either worth whatever you can afford to pay for him, or nothing.

don't get me wrong he's a nice guy and plays his heart out but he is not quick or technical enough at prem level and his positioning is pretty woeful as well
He was player of the season in the prem for derby, we sold him almost as soon as we went down. He was always decent for us, but we played him with Chris Riggott at the back and we struggled because neither of them are really dominant in the air. I'm sure he'll do a decent job for sunderland, but he's not worth maybe £3m.
