...Wasn't getting any help in the wireless internet thread so i'll try one of my own
Just bought a Belkin wireless router. First off, don't have a f'ing clue what to do. The instructions look simple, but when it says connect modem to router, it isn't possible. I have a USB modem and there's no USB ports on the router. So i'm stuck right? What can I do?
The wireless router should have a line in or LAN1 port. Put your LAN cable (NOT USB) from your router into this port. You wire your wireless router from your regular router or wall connection. So you should have at least two LAN cables, one from your PC to your router (hopefully with the internet connection line in the router from the wall), and one from your router into port 1 or "line in" port on your wireless router.
If all the plugs are in you should be getting flashing green lights on the wireless router display with an orange light blinking next to them. The orange light shows you have an active line in, i.e. your internet should be working.
Some routers require manual configuration, follow the instructions that should have come with your installation CD for the wireless router. You should ideally be putting the CD and following that before you start putting wires together, etc.

But I don't have an ethernet cable from my modem. It's similar to a ethernet cable, but it's a bit smaller and only has 2 of them gold metal bits. I have a connection from my PC to the router, just not from my modem to the router, which is what I need right?
