How would one go about getting car hire prices in Sweden?
Someone (hopefully not me) from our company has to go over to Sweden next Wednesday for a meeting. Cab fare from the airport to the destination would be about £115 (1500 Kronor), so the suggestion has been made that it might be cheaper to hire something. Any of my Swedish brethren able to advise on decent businesses to use?

I always use travelsupermarket.com or google 'car hire broker xxx' (with 'xxx' being the country I intend on visiting) when hiring cars. I can't recommend one specifically, but you can always find prices that undercut what the big firms are offering direct.

And if he/she is flying into Landvetter (Göteborg) or Arlanda (Stockholm), then the best prices are to be had directly from the service desk. They are all lined up next to eachother, so if they don't like the price they should just say "i'll try your competitor then". That usually drops the price even further.

Hertz and Avis are your best bets I guess for renting cars.
It also depends on where you're going, if the meeting is centrally in Gothenburg or Stockholm then you're better off taking the bus or train really, as it'd be far cheaper. Although seeing as how a taxi is 1500kr then I'm guessing it's quite a bit further than the distance between the airport and the city?
Wouldn't hurt with some more info
