I've had my nano for over a year and never had any problems with it tbh. Abandoned iTunes immediately in favour of a free bit of software called YamiPod which sits on the iPod itself (it's less than 1mb iirc) and allows me to just drag and drop files from my PC. I don't buy any mp3's (rip them from CD) so I have never had to use iTunes.

With regards to putting video from Sky onto an iPod: never done it myself but I would imagine you need a tv card in your PC connected via s-video to the Sky set top box. You'd then capture the video, convert it into whatever video format the iPod uses and dump it onto the iPod via iTunes or whatever. I doubt it's anything but a large amount of hassle unless you are fairly tech-savvy.

Those Sennheisers that everyone has for about £20-25 are pretty good - CX300s or something. The Shure E2C and anything above are awesome though, and justify the price difference. Keep an eye on Amazon, they have some amazing deals. I got E4Cs at half price earlier this year

I don't get the beef with iTunes at all, the sheer convenience of having all your music and playlists mirrored on your home system and your portable device is most of the reason I use one.

The reason I said about having a cd player etc was because I just wanted someone to tell me the good things about having an ipod and why it was worth having one.
I didn't know you could get a wireless version and few other things I didn't know the ipod touch could do.

Reckon typing a few words on an internet forum is a bit less looserish than choosing to live your life at home with mummy and daddy for the sake of a few gadgets. But that might just be me, I dunno.
