I have a big (179mb) audio file of a lecture I need to send to someone but it is so huge it keeps clogging up my email. I am downloading it to a file sharing website, but it is taking an age. Does anyone know how I can send it quickly, or shrink it (zipping it hardly reduces it)? Cheers.

Depends on the upload speeds your connections allow. You tried Rapidshare ?

I use this at work. Sign up for the free account, upload it and then give the recipient the account details.

Short of using FTP or Bittorent you're gonna have to upload to download.

Quality wise i'd say not but there must be some difference - but i'm no expert in that.

Could always covert to MP3, send it to them, let them convert back to WAV, providing they know what they are doing

Use a splitter like hjsplit for .001 and .002 files.

By far the best idea.

.wav files are about 10 times the size of an mp3 file when converted. Depends on bitrate though, but you can expect massive savings on space.
