is it wrong of me to be a little miffed by all this? actually, a better question would be: is it wrong of me to think even less of the bloody game because of this rubbish?
seriously cba with it at all anymore.

| Tbh it doesn't bother me that much. I have found the game to be reasonably playable out of the box, but then perhaps I am not into gaming as much as you are, nor have the time to play as much.
It does seem a bit slack though, but is what SI do any different from other games manufacturers? Or do they get increased flak because they go out of their way to listen to their 'fans'?

If being in dialogue with fans means self-righteously throwing around accusations of piracy when people point out a valid bug, then I guess you're right.

What become of it? An apology from SI to the person in question? Is the thead still alive?

I'd just like to express my dismay at the state of 'FM08 this year. Again.

Completely guessing, have no evidence to back this up, but I'll geuss that absolutely zero happened. One would hope that the Si employee Miles said he was going to rant at on the Monday (as apparently it's all his fault), was just left alone tbh. Utter shambles that was. Actually felt quite sad about it all.
Still baffled by people's suprise at all this. Or maybe it isn't surprise, but comments like "reasonably playable out of the box" just seem bonkers to me. Should be expecting way, way more people.
Can I blame Ter?

Expecting more from the people that claimed CM4 was playable out of the box?
While it seems to be an industry standard now to release games that are only fully realised and complete after a patch or two, you'd think SI would set themselves rather higher standards as they've been market leaders in their genre for so long...the quicker some really genuine competition comes along the better.
Yes, I know that Ter works 27 hours days or whatever, but the game still smacks of stasis. It could and should have moved forward more that the tiny steps it makes each year. For me it really feels like it needs some genuinely new creative input to remove some of the staleness.
