I think its amazing how somebody could have a baby and take the risk of not being alive to bring it up. I can't get my head around it. So glad i'm not religous, i can't get my head around it.
My girlfriends family are JW's and thankfully she's cut ties with faith coz it's proper fecked up.
THis was always going to happen. Don't need a girl dieing to cause any morale outrage against the religion as anyone could forsee this happening. I'm sure it's happened before, especially in America.

Jehovah's Witnesses refuse blood transfusions because they believe that God has forbidden it in the Bible. They believe that accepting a blood transfusion is a sin.
I wonder if she has committed any other sins according to the bible before she went into hospital to have the kid ?
Reminds me of the case of a woman who was stabbed, and had a relatively good prognosis if she were to accept a blood transfusion. She refused on the grounds of religion, bled to death, and the stabber got convicted of murder (iirc).
