Note the "or failure to act" which applies perfectly to the case we are talking about.
The definition doesn't draw a distinction between active and passive euthanasia, as they are treated differently

Correct me if I'm wrong but I read this as: "a failure to act from a doctor causing a patient's death is classified as a homicide"

If this is correct then not giving this woman the transfusion would be a homicide.
