would have thought it would have made sense to be (if possible) a bit more flexible about what the capacity was reduced to and do everything to get a club of some sort on board before submitting final plans, as having a set 25k capacity has got to seriously limit their options now.
| There will be no club involved. No Professional club at least. It's a stipulation of the contract they've signed with the IOC.

Saw the designs last week
going to go do a tour of the stadium site next week. Still waiting for confirmation on my opening ceremony tickets though.
Think it looks great, as does the logo. And 'cripple our country' ffs, get a hold of yourself Rocky!

So they can't use it as a stadium for a football club?
And Seb Coe has the gall to say it won't be a white elephant? Two poorly attended athletics meetings a year does not a legacy make.

As for the legacy, it looks unsuitable for the 2 local clubs. It's too big for Leyton Orient (think there stadium is only 13k) and it's far too small for West Ham.
Personally, i don't feel another community arena is needed in the area. We've got the o2 down the road, and West Ham hold lots of community events.
The olympic legacy is the most important thing. I was talking to a guy from Atlanta the other day, and he said the olympics over there only just broke even and made very little difference to their lives.
Ohh and another thing. The olympic development is only the 4th biggest regeneration project in the area.

It was initially expected to cost £280m but the costs have since been revised
| Revised to about 5bn then if Wembley is anything to go by.

After the Games have finished, the temporary seating will be taken away and the stadium will become a 25,000-capacity venue with a permanent athletics track.
An anchor tenant such as a football or rugby club is actively being sought, but one has yet to be found.
| they want an amateur club as their anchor tenant then? in a 25k stadium?
