It is not that easy, especially were religion is concerned because it is a more important part of some peoples lives than you realise.
She even said it reminds her to do good a bit like my catholic mate and his rosary or muslims and their subha.
| I'm not even slightly bothered about kids wearing bangles. I am bothered that our society can't make a distinction between a bangle and a bag on the head because people will moan it's discriminatory.

Not buying into her story. If she’s willing to take it off for certain classes she should be able to just not wear it for school then put it on later.

I dont have an opinion on headgear and i think bangles are okay. Face covering is where i say it is actually a negative in a school environment.

if it's something that her faith says is mandatory to wear then they can't really justify telling her to take it off

They send out the rules every start of the school year, if it was so much of a problem for her then she should have gone to another school.

picking on the fun loving Sikhs now /o\
Any religious symbol that isn't a logo, cover the face, or promote division i'm fine with. A kara is just a bangle, sometimes doubling up a convenient knuckle duster.
anything that keeps religion away from children is a good thing though. Although this will probably strengthen their beliefs.
