I suppose it depends on the size and scale of things to be honest Herman. Mum and dad run a small bar in an appartment block in Benidorm. They sorted all their licenses out prety quickly so im assuming this wont be a major thing in proceedings, although this is in Spain where everyone owns a bar I suppose.
In terms of running bar its just the basics to be honest. Worked in Shamrock bar in Benidorm when I was there and main thing for them was advertising there plus points (live music or cheap drink or whatever). When night is finished making sure takisn are correct and that all empty barrels, bottles and over there cases of drink that ran done during the night are noted down so that you can reorder them.

Cheers Pickles but I cba with nelly at the best of times, plenty of decent advice already.
Good work Retro  Just an idea I'm formulating so need to have a least a vague idea of what's required.

thats not the right attitude of someone who will run a successful pub.
anyway your one of life's great procrastinators, herman. making sure everyone else knows your dreams but never actually fcuking do them. so this thread is relatively pointless and any great advice would be of no value to you anyway.

Its my long term ambition to one day run a pub/bar. Would be an awesome way to retire from proper work.
