Really dead exciting question about "Read Only"
still here... great !
Upon changing the status of files from Read Only, it seems to complete the action fine but then on checking again it has miraculously returned to Read Only status. Why dammit, WHY ?!!?
*cries*
*thinks about all the great assistance coming from OTFers*
*realises the futility of the potential assistance*
*cries even harder*

Fine.
File shows it is "read only" in prooperties.
Unselect "read only", click "apply" and "ok".
Go to File --> Properties.
Its only back as "Read Only".
